Business: FindWhat finalizes deal to add merchant software service
Looks like a big, local naples (florida) company just got a boost today...an 80000 customer boost! Keep it up FindWhat!
Fort Myers-based FindWhat.com has completed the $8 million acquisition of Miva Corp., a San Diego-based software developer.
The deal, first announced in September, adds a stable of online merchant software to FindWhat.com's existing Internet marketing services.
Miva, founded in 1996, will remain in San Diego as a division of FindWhat. Miva CEO Joe Austin will become general manager of the division. The company is best known for Miva Merchant software, an online shopping cart application.
Miva, with more than 80,000 clients, will retain its identity, but the service meshes well with FindWhat.com's pay-per-click advertising, said Craig Pisaris-Henderson, FindWhat president and CEO.
"We want to give 80,000 Miva customers easy access to the FindWhat system and likewise for FindWhat customers," Pisaris-Henderson said.
